If you need to sell or otherwise deal with your immovable property, you must lodge your original Title Deed in the Deeds Office. If your Title Deed is lost, you will need to apply to the Deeds Office to issue you with a copy thereof from their microfilm records and you will need to pay the required fee.
The (lost) original Title Deed then becomes invalid and can never again serve as Title to the property.

Should the Title Deed thereafter be found, it must immediately be handed to the Registrar of Deeds.
